Description
Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, is notable for twinkling in a rainbow of colours. This occurs due to its low position in the sky, and shining through the thick atmosphere causes the effect. For this image, I shot a sequence of purposefully out-of-focus images to capture a variety of the colours, and then aligned them into the frame.
